Uber Rock’s Albums of the Year 2015

True to our word, Uber Rock’s Albums of the Year rundown arrives on the last day of the year, not in the middle of festival season in order to honour whichever American band is ‘coincidentally’ booked to appear in a muddy field near you.

 

When you create a website that tries to cover every rock subgenre you have to be prepared to bite your lip at times, making sure that the spine of the site is strong with the spirit of Uber Rock, even when writers devoted to particular sonic corners of this rock ‘n’ roll world turn in glowing reviews of bands that you wouldn’t touch with the proverbial barge pole. That said, the collective 2015 Albums of the Year list that you’ll find at the bottom of the page is as good a rundown as we’ve seen anywhere this year.

 

The albums are there for a reason – because they have been voted for multiple times by the thirty-four uber scribes brave enough to put their favourite long players out there for your perusal. You can agree or disagree, punch the air or punch the screen; the only thing that matters is that you keep on finding and listening to great new music. Not heard of some of the bands featured below?
