Enigmatic Icelandic post-rockers Sigur Rós have announced a final run of orchestral shows.

They will perform with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra at the Playhouse in Edinburgh on 31 August and the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow on 2 September before crossing the Irish Sea for three collaborations with the Ulster Orchestra, at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on 4 September and the Bord Gais Theatre in Dublin on 6 and 7 September.

The tour – which has seen them playing in some of the world’s most iconic orchestral venues, including London’s Royal Albert Hall, Rome’s Sala Santa Cecilia, Paris’ Salle Playel, Brussels’ Bozar, Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City and the Konzerthaus in Vienna and collaborated with the likes the London Contemporary Orchestra (LCO), the Wordless Music Orchestra, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra, Resound Collective, Brisbane Philharmonic, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and more – will wrap up with two shows in Berlin.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale on Friday (20 March) from usual local outlets.
