Bigmoth ‘Meggah Konstrukt’ (Self-Released)

Our opening salvo is fired, quite literally, with the title track and first taste of the upcoming debut album from this Amsterdam-based progressive groove and hardcore-fusion metal outfit, which is due to reshape our soundscapes later this year:

Bong Voyage ‘One Hundred Million Billion Beers’ (Ripple Music)

The Norwegian party animals are living up to the title of their upcoming debut album, ‘Hedonistic Hard Rock‘ – which they describe as “a larger-than-life tribute to the very music that made your mom fall in love with your dad, and your friends fall in love with your sister” – with this alcohol-fuelled latest round:

Civil Villains ‘High Achievers’/’Shadow Weight’ (Thundersnuff Records)

The Oxford alt-rock post-hardcore trio announce the imminent arrival of their second album, ‘A Sleeper, Underneath‘ – the title of which is inpired by the transcendentalist writer Henry David Thoreau’s classic book Walden and which will be released at the beginning of May – with this AA-side offering:

Desert Kites ‘Simple Cure’ (Self-Released)

The grungy, shoegazing Dundee alt-rock duo deliver the perfect prescription to the dreary Sunday afternoon blues with this latest standalone offering:

Every Hell ‘Let Me Go’ (Self-Released)

The bolshie Brighton noiseniks celebrate their expansion to a five-piece with this barrage of riffs and wave of grooves, marking their first new music since 2024’s debut ‘Vertebrate’ EP and released ahead of busy summer of gigs and festival appearances:

Inoria ‘Solace’ (SODEH Records)

The Danish alt-proggies explore the fragile line between comfort and dependence on this latest standalone offering, which will appeal equally to fans of Tool, Opeth and Soen:

Lavalove ‘Go Go Boots’ (Pure Noise Records)

These fiesty SoCal psychedelic garage/surf rockers will be exposing their ‘Tan Lines‘ with the release of their new album next month, but in the meantime are walking all over us (sic) with this latest poptastic taster:

Love Rarely ‘Haunted’ (Big Scary Monsters)

The Leeds emo-mathcore five-piece have just released their debut album, on which they argue that ‘Pain Travels‘, and are gearing up for their first ever sold-out London headline show in May, as well as a summer trekking the festival paths:

Melechesh ‘In Shadows, In Light’ (Reigning Phoenix Music)

The Mesopotamian metal progenitors continue their tradition of weaving esoteric philosophy, ancient symbolism, and relentless sonic power into a singular musical experience with this extract from their upcoming new EP, which will see them stand guard as ‘Sentinels of Shamash‘ next month:

Mirrorglass ‘Wasted Time’ (Self-Released)

This track was originally released exclusively in Ireland last year and sees frontman Joshua Bowles reflecting on a period of transition for both him and the band, who now have a completely new line-up since the song was first penned:

Richie Cross ‘When I Get Old’ (SODEH Records)

The Las Vegas alt-punk artist explores whether growing up is the biggest lie we’ve ever been told on this grtty and attitudinal reimaging of the Descendents’ 1996 single:

Seahaven ‘Midnight Hour’ (Pure Noise Records)

The Californian alt-rockers have returned from a six-year hiatus, with their fourth, self-titled album due for release in June, preceded by their first ÜK shows in more than a decade:

The German emo punks have just asked ‘Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After?‘ with their just-released new album, a concept work that “dares the listener to recall the situations in life when you’ve hit rock bottom and consider if you were able to point out the moment from which things got better again”…

The Cosmic Dead ‘Stronger’ (Heavy Psych Sounds)

The Glaswegian space/krautrock explorers will be taking us on an epic voyage to ‘Beyond The Beyond‘ with the release of their tenth album next month:

The Devil’s Forfeit ‘Knickers’ (Self-Released)

These blues-infused Edinburgh classic rock revivalists have plenty of grit under their fingernails and fire in their bellies, as they prove on this latest standalone submission:
