Three handsome men entered the sprawling metropolis that is the BRfm studio complex… and were never the same again.
Episode 57 of The Uber Rock Radio Show was little different to the other 56 shows from the website to excite – cool music was played, cool music was talked about, things went wrong, the things that went wrong were laughed at, somebody swore when they weren’t supposed to…. you get the picture.
The show went out live on the anniversary of the debut album releases from The Damned and KISS so you can bet your sweet bippy that something got played from those classics. It wasn’t all about the classics, though: uber-cool new songs from the likes of Everclear, Fukdust 4, Crazy & The Brains, VCPS (formerly Vietcong Pornsürfers), Sumo Cyco, Lonely Robot and Bitch Queens featured, as did a track from The Almighty’s re-fuckin-issues.
Motörhead, Girlschool and Faster Pussycat all sat in the naughty kickass cover corner, while Rob Watkins asked for ‘Nothing, But A Handjob’ from German glunkers Christmas via the always chaotic Watkins’s Tune. Even London LeGrand made a reappearance, that’s how important The Uber Rock Radio Show is.
