Black Star Riders are currently ripping up stages up and down the length of the Über Kingdom of Rock ‘n’ Roll. We caught up with the band when they pulled into frontman Ricky Warwick’s home town of Belfast, where we enjoyed a very intimate instore acoustic set followed by a riotous headline show at the city’s historic Limelight venue. In between, we wangled our way back stage to chat with bassist Robbie Crane about the success of new album ‘Heavy Fire’, their collective rapport and camaraderie and the band’s – and especially the aforesaid singer’s – extreme work ethic:
