Following up their self-titled debut EP, Wakefield-based pop rockers The Humour release their second disc and there is definitely some pop smart going on here.

The Humour have played with some right heavy titans over the last twelve months or so, yet are forging a sound all of their own. There is more than a hint of Mansun on offer here as well. I can hear this getting on the radio, no doubt about it –  a great chorus and a nice spikey riff.

There is nothing to dislike here at all, even though the release only contains a couple of tracks. The second song ‘Stronger Without You’ coming over all grande with lush vocals not unlike Lostprophets or Taking Back Sunday. There is definitely enough to make me want to hear more. Catchy and infectious, spikey and rockin’. These boys could be huge Stateside. Nice.
