The actress and model Tawny Kitaen, best known to rock fans for her starring role in a series of Whitesnake promo videos during the mid- to late-Eighties, has died at the age of 59.
Kitaen first came to rockers’ attentions when she modelled for the covers of LA sleaze rockers Ratt’s self-titled 1983 debut EP and the following year’s ‘Out Of The Cellar’ album. She then helped to propel Whitesnake to the top of the MTV rotation lists, and subsequent massive success in the US, when she appeared in the videos for a string of hit singles, including ‘Here I Go Again’, ‘Still Of The Night’, ‘Is This Love’ and ‘The Deeper The Love’. She was also briefly married to Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale.
