It’s been a seemingly meteoric rise for Australian garage-blues-rock duo The Graveltones, 2013 has seen them leap from the relative obscurity of a hardcore following on the circuit in London, to Download festival in a matter of months.
Along the way there was the small matter of a UK tour as support to Rival Sons, and not least a handful of visits to the play some of the cooler clubs in exciting European capitals such as Berlin and Stockholm. As if this explosion into the public consciousness wasn’t enough, Mikey and Jimmy have also amazingly found time to record their debut album, which should see the light of day very soon!
How did this all happen? Well, as usual Uber Rock is in there (almost) at the birth of a phenomenon to find out all the hard-rocking facts; like a Peter Lorimer tackle, we may be a tiny bit late to the party but we got there as soon as we could! Oh yes, right in the thick of it all, frontman Jimmy O and producer Charlie Francis took an hour’s break from mixing said debut to meet UBERROCK TV at a hip coffee shop in a Cardiff suburb, and bring me up to speed on everything Graveltones related.
One lump or two gentlemen?
