Once again the Steelhouse team have pulled it out of the bag.  As always there is something for everyone in the early announcement, with the usual mix of rock ‘n’ roll veterans, festival favourites and up-and-coming new talent.

Having returned to the live music scene this year, The Temperance Movement top this off with the Friday night headline slot. As if one returner wasn’t enough the Friday night also sees the return of Mason Hill to the mountain tops of south aast Wales.  With local hard rockers King Kraken opening up the festivities its shaping up to be a good night.  Add into that the southern rock that is Parker Barrow (currently in the ÜK on tour with The Damn Truth) and Canadian blues guitarist Anthony Gomes, with Luke Morley (Thunder) Friday is going to be a chilled out opener.

Beux Gris Gris open up Saturday morning so an easy start for the Friday hangover. The ubiquitous Dan Byrne returns again, as do one of my favourite bands into the special guest slot, the absolutely fabulous Von Hertzen Brothers. Top that off with Reef and that is not a bad start to Saturday’s announcement with more to come, including our headliner.

Sunday kicks off with the blues-rock trio that are Blue Nation, seriously riffy and filled with swagger its going to help on Sunday morning. However, Steelhouse throw the odd curve ball into the mix and the Viking pagan rockers LN will shake up the attitude as second on the bill. This will line up serious New York rockers AMH (Adam and the Metal Hawks) to rattle your ears.

I doubt that there are only a couple of Thin Lizzy fans attending Steelhouse any year, so why not add Darren Wharton’s Renegade to the bill.  The vocal performance of the weekend will definitely  be by Danny Vaughn of Tyketto, with some Californian attitude injected by Alien Ant Farm.

What a way to finish Sunday night. Last years headliners were Those Damn Crows, this year’s are none other than the newly reformed glam legends Twisted Sister celebrating 50 years in rock. Its gonna be a beast of a set with everyone there undoubtedly  screaming “I Wanna Rock” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It” during their hit-packed setlist…
