Bloodstock 2019 April 23 UpdateBlasting away the cobwebs after a long Easter bank holiday weekend, Bloodstock has dropped a surprise announcement for a further six bands to join the festival bill.

Leading the charge are Finnish/English prog metallers Wheel, fresh from the release of their debut record ‘Moving Backwards’, which dropped back in February. Ever the space for championing fresh-faced newcomers to the metal scene, Bloodstock will also be hosting the likes of Spanish thrashers Vioblast, Finnish melodic death thrash masters Blood Red Hourglass and prog instrumentalists The Parallax Method.

It’s not just newcomers that will be strutting their stuff at Catton Park, mind; thrash metallers Solitary will be celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band on Sunday 11 August and Egyptian blackened death metal troupe Crescent aren’t far behind as they hit 21 years as a band in 2019.

Stacked like a tank on ‘roids and boasting some of the biggest and hottest names throughout the metal spectrum, Bloodstock 2019 is looking to be a bumper year for the UK’s largest metal specialist festival.

Bloodstock 2019 will be held from 8 – 11 August. Tickets are on sale now.
