Kröflueldar was the name given to a nine year series of volcanic eruptions in Iceland, an historic island known for its almost continuously primordial igneous activity and upheaval. Given that it took Altari a similar amount of time to record this, their debut opus, it is an apposite and appropriate title for this equally smouldering and potentially explosive offering.

Manchester never seems to give up its ability to cock up a lovely day by introducing masses of wind and rain and this day was no exception for the trip to New Century Hall for one of Jase W’s new favourite bands, dayseeker. On this tour they’ve got Acres who our resident gigaholic thoroughly enjoyed a short while ago, as well as Love Is Noise who he had seen billed on various gigs supporting other bands but never seen them himself. A beautiful venue for what is inevitably going to be an emotional night.
