Igorrr/Otto Von Schirach – Manchester, Club Academy – 15 April 2022

After being greeted with a warm spell just in time for Easter weekend, Jase W decided to make the most of it by going to a dark room to get his ears blasted to bits by one of the most bizarre bands in the metal scene. Unfortunately, Drumcorps have had to drop out, which is a real shame, but we’ve still got a support act in the form of Otto Von Schirach, who our resident gigaholic had been informed is similarly as weird as Igorrr…

Crows/Blow Up Dog – Glasgow, The Garage Attic Bar – 12 April 2022

Walking into the Attic bar a couple of minutes late, Lesley M found there was already a wall of sound as three-piece local raw-punk band Blow Up Dog ripped through their first track. Although she didn’t catch it all, they were definitely not messing about, and the small crowd were already held by the music and the personality of bassist and singer Tom Rowan. Wearing a T-shirt that said ‘’ALL TORIES ARE CUNTS’’ he was direct and confident – which you really have to be to play a venue like this.
