LS Dunes/Kayleigh Goldsworthy – Manchester, Club Academy – 29 January 2023

Very recently Jase W had been having a pretty in depth conversation with a mate of his about how much he loved Circa Survive and he (the mate, that is) mentioned that following their last tour in the States, they’d gone on indefinite hiatus, which sucked. He did care to mention that LS Dunes were linked via their singer and it rang a bell that they were touring the ÜK… so there was our resident gigaholic – front and centre once again!

FESTIVAL NEWS: ArcTanGent swan dives into latest line-up announcement

One of ÜR’s favourite festivals, ArcTanGent, today announced its next round of bands for this year’s event, including acclaimed experimental rockers Swans and the newest ‘super group’ in town Empire State Bastard, which features Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro and Mike Vennart, formerly of Oceansize, as well as Norwegian extreme metal legends Enslaved.

Wingmen – Brighton, Concorde 2 (Live Stream) – 29 January 2023

It’s great when you hear an album at the start of January that is so good, you just know it’ll be up there in your top 20 at the end of the year. Such was the case for Jim R with the debut album from punk supergroup Wingmen. Their follow-up nine date ÜK tour reached a climax in Brighton tonight with the whole gig broadcasting on a live stream.
