It’s hard to resist a dose of good old-fashioned cheesy OTT power metal, which is what we couldn’t do when we heard that these old-fashioned cheesy OTT German power metallers were delving deep into the much-mined lore of Middle Earth for their latest tale of derring-do from their upcoming new album.
With ‘Sam The Brave’ we pay tribute to the true hero of Lord of the Rings – not the mighty warrior, but the loyal friend who carries the light when all hope seems lost. This song is our monument to loyalty, courage, and the power of friendship, the band explained.
The track is latest to preview the band’s upcoming new album, ‘Knightclub’, which in turn sees them exploring new territory, as it is their first with an English title and also the first to feature several songs sung in English. It also features collaborations with Dag-Alexis Kopplin of SDP on the title track, the legendary “Queen Of Metal” herself, Doro Pesch, on ‘Valhalla’ and Lords Of The Lost (with whom they tour their native Germany in October) on previous single ‘Lords Of Fyre’.
‘Knightclub‘ will be released this Friday (22 August) via Napalm Records.
