Interrogated by Monk
Fozzy are one of those American bands who seem to have a particular affinity with this particular corner of the rock ‘n’ roll Überverse, as emphasized by the fact that they are about to undertake their second tour of the ÜK and Ireland a just a little over a year. In fact, such is the band’s popularity that this will be see them playing to some of their biggest crowds – much to the delight of frontman Chris Jericho, as I found out when I caught up with him via a Zoom call to his Florida home.
During our chat, we talked about his love of this part of the world, how he is looking forward to celebrating his forthcoming 52nd birthday in ÜR’s home town of Belfast, his love of classic metal bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden and how he aims to emulate them in terms of varying Fozzy’s setlist, and how he balances not one, not two but four separate careers:
