This was only David O’s second opportunity to cover a gig in Clwb Ifor Bach and the first in the larger of its two rooms.  This is another one of the grass roots venues on Womanby Street in Cardiff, with a 250 capacity. So with the big voice and persona of Nathan James making his return to fronting Inglorious, it was also our man’s first opportunity to see  Marisa And The Moths live prior to both bands appearing at Steelhouse Festival at the end of July.

As we entered a brief period of scorchingly hot weather to welcome in the summer this year, Jase W got himself along to Haarlem’s premier venue, Patronaat, to catch Swedish pop metalcore outfit, Normandie! Doing a few extra shows here and there to pad out their live dates jumping between festivals, our man on the continent was fortunate to have a headline set up the road prior to seeing them again at RADAR Festival in Manchester.

The Sheepdogs recently brought their signature brand of vintage-tinged, feel-good rock to The Globe in Cardiff, a small venue (and one regularly as one of our ‘Small Stages Big Sounds‘ podcast series) with a capacity of around 350, but surprisingly boasts a large stage, ideally suited for the southern rock-influenced shenanigans that were to take place on it this evening…
