So, here we are, batterin’ and breezin’, poundin’ ‘n’ pummellin’, stompin’ ‘n’ strollin’ our way into the dirty heart and soul of another busy rockin’ ‘n’ rollin’ month here in the Überverse… We’ve the death decks fully cranked up, and the amps set so loud that the Trumpinator is threatening to declare them a weapon of mass distraction and launch a tactical strike on the dank back alleys of Belfast… but, we’ve got our aural assault in first and so we invite you to grab a chilled beer or three, settle into your favourite studded leather armchair and enjoy our latest selection of the hottest aural delights to have come our way over the past seven days:

We pay our first visit to our home turf, from where this pair of former buskers present to us a cautionary tale in the form of the third sample from their upcoming second album, which will be released at the beginning of next month:

The newly expanded five-piece have a busy few weeks ahead of them, hitting the road in support of Alpha Male Tea Party and Haggard Cat, and in the meantime give us a taste of what to expect from the new line-up with this standalone offering:

The Detroit instrumental post-rock quartet are preparing to unravel the ‘Threads Of Another Life‘ with their first new album in six years, due to be released at end of July and of which this is the first sample to be unpicked:

The German gothic-occult metal project opens the second chapter of its debut album, which is due to regale us with a selection of ‘Tales From The Poisoned Apple’ when it is released at the end of this week:

Formed out of the ashes of nu-metallers FONY, this new project sees vocalist Olly James and guitarist/programmer Phil Bashford re-united and ready to release their debut EP, which features two songs (of which this is one) alongside a pair of reworked cuts from their formet endeavour:

The self-confessed Mancunina geek punks – they’ve previously releases songs about serial killers, Pokémon and WarHammer – continue to keep a smile on our faces with this third preview of their planned sophomore album:

Following a series of live releases over the past couple of years, the theatrical London alt-rockers with a penchant for espionage and horror movies have emerged from the studio with a brand new album, released this very week, of which this is the third scene-setter:
Rusty Shackle ‘Your Arrows’ (Get Folked Records)
The south Wales folk rockers are in typically defiant form with this first shot (sic) from their new album, which is due for release at the end of August:
