Artwork for The Crawling Live In Belfast MMXXIVNorthern Ireland death doom trio The Crawling will celebrate their tenth anniversary with the release of their first ever live recording.

As it’s title suggests ‘Live In Belfast MMXXIV’ was recorded at a packed out hometown headline show in the city’s Limelight 2 last November.

Speaking about the release, frontman Andy Clarke to us:

It suddenly hit me that The Crawling has been going ten years.

Like most bands, the goal is to play live, and when you can’t reach everyone, the next best thing is to capture that energy. Live is where it all connects; the emotion, the sound, the experience.

That night in Belfast brought it all together, a packed home crowd, the recording, the filming, everything. It’s our way of saying thanks to those who’ve supported us from day one, and of introducing ourselves to anyone new. To finally release a live album is a lifelong dream.

And honestly, live albums are just fucking cool.

The 11 track set spans every era of the band’s catalogue, from ‘An Immaculate Deception’ and ‘Bound to the Negative’ to ‘Wolves and the Hideous White’. A full concert film will follow on YouTube, with encore ‘Rancid Harmony’ remaining exclusive to the CD and digital releases.

‘Live in Belfast MMXXIV’ will be released on 23 January through Grindscene Records on CD and digital, with exclusive bundles available now.
