Guitarist James O’Connor explains the track’s message:
‘The Cursed’ is about the feeling of belonging — being part of a genre that’s no longer mainstream and longing for a bygone era. To deliver that message, we drew inspiration from the artists we grew up with: Maiden, Priest, Ozzy, and Tygers of Pan Tang.
