Chosen by Monk

Organic farmers by day (and night), organic musicians by (day and) night, the Gascony prog duo bring the principles that guide every aspect of their lives into focus with this, the fourth single from their just-released tenth album:

The song deals with the philosophy of US naturalist D.H. Thoreau, author of ‘Walden, that the Gascony farmers apply in their daily life throughout both of their businesses: the farm and their approach to music. Like their farm, their music is 100 per cent self-financed, and released through their own label, the appropriately named Organic Music, and the pair are self-managed. The album, in turn, deals with the pair’s very real concerns about Post-Growing that they apply at their organic farm and also in the music business economy, consistently refusing record deals and recording the new album live, with no tracking or playbacks, in just four days.
