This Cardiff quartet are definitely reaching for the heights, and slowly climbing their way to the top of the south Wales rock ‘n’ roll mountain, and there is #NothingHigher we can offer them in terms of an accolade than to name them one of our last #DailyPicks of the year.

Having previously received some superstar help in terms of a writing collab with none other than AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, which earned them a playlisting in our main fortnightly Club feature back in March, the four youngsters are very much in ascendancy, a journey assisted by recent support slots with the likes of Foo Fighters, The Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, Kids In Glass Houses and, most recently, Those Damn Crows.

Songwriter and lead guitarist Mike Griffiths told us a bit more about their latest release:

‘Nothing Higher’ discusses the personal struggle to find meaning against the backdrop of a chaotic and unsympathetic world, however it also offers some respite to this through love and hope.

The two distinct parts of the song begin with a sense of uncertainty and chaos which falls away to suggest that something simpler and more hopeful may still be possible through human connection.
