This Chicago punk trio shouldn’t be pulling a #SadFace, and definitely have nothing about which to be miserable (sic), as they find themselves my latest choice cut for the second time in as many weeks:

Frontman Joe Mizzi dialled up ÜRHQ to tell us a bit more about this latest single:

‘Sad Face’ is a deeply personal song about the struggles of addiction and suicidal thoughts. It’s a reflection on the battles faced by myself and by those close to me—especially women in my life who have suffered and been lost to these struggles. It captures the haunting, cyclical nature of feeling trapped in your own design and searching for a way out. Too often, we’re unable to express these emotions fully, and it gets reduced to the idea that someone’s just sad and should simply “turn that frown upside down,” when in reality, there’s so much more happening beneath the surface.
