My latest selection sees this Oregon trio combining chaotic gloom with old school (sic) early-Noughties style melopunk as they invite us up into their attic to experience some momentary existentialism – oh, and share their first new music in four years.
Frontman Chris Hahn popped into the Club to tell us a bit more about the song, which is the first taster of their upcoming new album, which will see them delivering #DeadEndLullabies on its release in October:
‘The Attic’ was originally written a decade ago after losing a close friend and was never officially released. Since the new album will basically be an anthology of the last three years following my dad’s passing, ‘The Attic’ felt relevant and right at home with the newly written record.
