Local heroes Skindred are to make the short trip from Newport to land their helicopter for a return to the top of the mountain when they headline the 2024 iteration of one of ÜR’s favourite festivals, Steelhouse. Also jetting in to make a rare ÜK appearance, are ÜS classic rock legends Mr Big.

Also making their way to the mountaintop next July will be New York alt-blues duo The Last Internationale, Canadian rockers The Commoners and American blues-guitar powerhouse Jared James Nichols, who will be joined by James And The Cold Gun, Creeping Jean and Zac & The New Men to represent the very best in up-and coming ÜK talent.

As previously announced, Steelhouse’s opening Friday night will be rebranded BernieFest, in memory of the late Bernie Marsden. It will be headlined by an all-star band featuring another festival favourite, Neville MacDonald, and FM guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick, who will be joined by King King, Elles Bailey, Oli Brown And The Dead Collective and The Zac Schulze Gang.

  • Steelhouse 2024 takes place at its usual home of Hafod Y Dafal, outside Ebbw Vale, over the weekend of 26-28 July.
