Another band off the sleazy conveyor belt in Sweden and what you have here is four tracks of good solid hard rockin’.
“We know where we stand” say Gasoline Queen and after a couple of listens I’m sure you will as well. A polished set of songs with singer Dee Hoffman possessing a mighty fine set of pipes and an ear for a decent melody as well. ‘Broken, Cursed And Damned’ comes across sounding in the same vein as, well, um….Vain, I suppose. So that’s where these guys are kind of coming from.
They’re not going to pull up any trees or tread any new turf from this offering but there is promise here and a full length is on the way (oo-er mrs) which on this evidence deserves to be checked out. The last track is an all out rocker called ‘Stalker’ and does exactly what it says on the tin – “Fuel for your rock n roll soul”. Indeed it is chaps.
