I like this, a lot. Five songs, in not very many minutes, of female fronted Portuguese hardcore. I really love female vocals to hardcore and vocalist Sofia really does belt out the songs on this EP.
If Shelter has got Sick Of It All to play Tilt’s back catalogue using Death By Stereo’s gear you’d get some idea of where this lot are coming from musically. Opening track ‘Time Will Tell’ starts things off steadily before ‘Insight’ steps up the pace. ‘Settle The Score’ flies by before the title track takes the honours as the stand-out track on offer. ‘What We’re Missing’ wraps things up very nicely thank you, and you’re left looking forward to Reaching Hand’s first full length, which I hope follows soon. And who’d have thought Portugal could offer so much more than horse-faced £80m prima donnas.
