Video Of The Week: Idles – ‘Mother’

This week’s video choice will have Oompa Loompa-like antiques show presenter David Dickinson tearing his carefully coiffured wig out in fury, as it features self-styled post-punk polemics Idles frontman Joe Talbot smashing up a table filled with the sort of kitschy china crap that used to fill your granny’s mantlepiece.
The track is taken from the Bristol band’s forthcoming new album, ‘Brutalism’, which is released on 10 March.
This past week has been a busy one for Idles. Not only have they been confirmed as support for The Maccabees on their London farewell shows but they have also been confirmed to appear at the Leeds and Reading festivals. They also have announced a lengthy tour is support of the album release:
