Our latest ‘Video Of The Week’ comes straight from the land Down Under, in the form of Aussie punk upstarts The Chats, who are suffering a case of ‘Identity Theft’ with their new single.
Due to head our way next month, these Queensland boys seem to have come from nowhere and are reported to be ripping things apart in the States at the moment, counting Dave Grohl and Josh Homme among the fans checking out their live shows. Their previous video, ‘Smoko’, has now hit 7.5 million views!
‘Identity Theft’ is a chip off the old block, with tongue in cheek lyrics about the perils of identity theft when buying drugs off the internet backed up by an old school punk rock sound!
The Chats play The Limelight in Belfast on Tuesday 20 August, the Reading Festival on Friday 23 August and the Leeds Festival on Saturday 24 August. They will then return to the Über Kingdom of Rock ‘n’ Roll for a run of dates in December:
