This ‘Video Of The Week’ is actually just over a week old and so would normally fall outside our criteria for consideration, but due to the Christmas and New Year interruptions, as well as our site overhaul, the feature was put on hold for a couple of editions.
So, to kick off 2019 in fine aural and visual style, behold the mighty Norwegian prog rock act 22 and their video for single ‘Sylphs’. Catchy, melodic and highly accessible – a very worthy winner to start off the new year!
‘Sylphs’ is the third chapter of the band’s ‘You Are Creating’ film quadrilogy, in which they follow the robot HAL22000 and his human friend Akira on their ventures in a parallel post-cataclysmic universe. You can catch the first two episodes on Long Branch Records’ YouTube channel.
