Northern Ireland's favourite vaguely proggy, kinda stoner-ish, big grooving trio, Skypilot, have confirmed that they are to release their long-teased second album, entitled ‘The Affront’, in May.

The eight-tracker will feature a number of songs which have been firm favourites in their live set for quite some time now, including ‘M.O.A.S.T.’, ‘SuperDuperNaut’, ‘Nacho’, ‘The Beautiful Cheese’ and ‘Letters To Jemima’. The release will be followed by a Belfast launch show and a short run of UK dates in May and June. In advance of all of this, Skypilot will make their Siege of Limerick debut on Sunday 21 April.

Bassist Gareth Ruddock told Über Rock: “Working on these songs has taken us down a road we haven’t travelled for some time. We’re excited to be able to bring Skypilot’s music to a wider audience in 2019.”

Skypilot were formed in the otherwise sleepy County Antrim village of Doagh in 2003, and to date have released four EPs and one full-length album.
